Reductions
Where possible we will encourage regular routine maintenance of a tree.
This involves activities such as:
-
Crown raising to lift the lower limbs of the tree to improve access to a driveway for example or to improve the overall shape of the tree.
-
Crown reduction/thinning to reduce the over crown area of a tree which will reduce its size for a period of time before it will need another reduction to maintain its new shape as a reduction will encourage new vigorous growth.
-
Limb reduction where necessary to prevent interference with services such as telephone lines or damage to houses by encroaching branches.
